What was the highlight of Monte Filipe Hotel
Overall good but with some hassles
I liked that it had a sauna, a jacuzzi and a turkish bath
I didn't like that the pool was almost cold, i didn't like that they had a gym but it wasn't open, i didn't like the smell of chlorine througout the hotel. Also, I payed for the best suite, and the romantic package, which included a robe and slippers, the staff just forgot and it was us that had to ask them to give to us. P.S. The romantica package could include something more than just 6 strawberries with dried chocolate.

Relaxing and very enjoyable
Great location , feeling of countryside It’s very spacious inside Rooms are generous in size and very comfortable Spa was very much enjoyed , particularly as we had it basically to ourselves . We enjoyed dinner and breakfast . Service from all was kind, friendly , warm .
My only criticism is it is a little frayed around the edges . Certain things look worn , balcony could have nicer outside furniture , rather than plastic chairs . Some of the paintwork needs a face- lift .

Wonderful
Lovely hotel in a country location, very comfortable stay. Only disappointment was we couldn't try the restaurant as they had a wedding on.
Swim cap necessary for indoor pool, fortunately I had one with me as they cost €4.50
